What is the Go North Music Festival?

Go North Music Festival is a music festival held on beautiful St. Joseph Island. Go North is a family-friendly event, with free entry for kids 12 and under. We feature a variety of talented and critically acclaimed musical acts from across Canada.

Friday Night, the kick-off to the weekend will be held at the Centennial Grounds - New - Food Vendors both days! Our lineup will get you dancing and revved up for a whole weekend of fun, friends, live music and Island adventures. LUCY’S DINER kicks off the fun, followed by the YASSiN and SEAN TERRIO, and headlined by Funk Powerhouses - MY SON THE HURRICANE! Festival Gates open at 6pm.

Saturday, the Go North Music Festival gates open at 3:00pm. Saturday night, WINTERSLEEP with special guests WIDE MOUTH MASON will be headlining!

The festival site features a lush green-space, nestled in the center of old growth maple trees. The Centennial grounds are built for large events, and offer wide open spaces and room to stretch out and make a zone for you and your crew.

We focus on featuring great food vendors. Don't forget we offer ice cold locally-made and domestic beer and coolers. The Artisan Market showcases local artisans and producers selling hand made local goods.

We have activities for kids and a kid’s stage with the amazing Thinking Caps - children’s entertainers who’ll keeping them clapping!

Kids 12 and under are FREE! The family zone has interactive displays from Science North, Parks Canada, and the St. Joseph Island Museum, games, crafts and a giant community mural project families can help with.
